Innocent Bystander (IB) was born of the Yarra Valley, where wine is our heart and soul (and coffee comes a close second).
While we’re serious about wine making, we don't bang on about it or get tied up in industry trends and prestige. Our wines are delicious and approachable but our home isn't your sniff-and-spit cellar door. At Innocent Bystander we want to deliver great wine (and sometimes un-wine) experiences that anyone can enjoy, without having to buy into all the stuffiness.

About the Role
The Assistant Brand Manager role is there to support the IB strategy and deliver it to our customers and fans, so we can take things to the next level and spread the love for our IB wines and experiences.
Reporting into the Head of Innocent Bystander, your major responsibilities will be to manage consumer and trade marketing activity for Innocent Bystander wines and experiences and product management too. This will include everything from our wine comms, to social media management, trade POS, sponsorship and community events. It's important to us that this person can operate across multiple teams; the IB HQ team based in Healesville and our head office team in Richmond (where you'd be based most of the time) working closely with our broader sales, marketing and shared services teams.

About You
You may be a great marketer already and you might have had agency experience before you moved client side. Right now you're itching for something different, not more of the same and probably ready to step up and make an individual impression. You love being creative, but you're disciplined in your working style and you're able to combine it with great relationship building. Most of all, you want to work for a strong brand, product and company.
It's likely that you already know the Innocent Bystander brand and have some wine knowledge. When you think about this job at IB – you're excited about getting up to speed on our brand story and market presence quickly, so you can roll up your sleeves and help take it to the next level.
Officially, we're looking for the following skills and experience in your work history;
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, digital areas of study (preferred)
- Practical experience within Brand Marketing preferably within liquor, hospitality, tourism or FMCG
- Demonstrated ability to showcase creative ideas and a willingness to be hands on
- Excellent creative writing and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of the use of social media platforms in support of brand growth
- Demonstrated understanding of CRM
- Solid experience in planning and delivering marketing activity including event management
- Demonstrated ability to complete administrative tasks and responsibilities aligned to a brand strategy and product management
- A lust for life
- Experience working in different sized teams, remotely and in person
- Current and clear driver’s license
- Willingness to commute to our Healesville venue (around once per week plus events/activities)
