Based in the Melbourne CBD or in the Yarra Valley, our client Levantine Hill Estate in the Yarra Valley, produces exceptional wines, handcrafted without compromise. They have an enviable location, winery, cellar door and restaurant. Levantine Hill is in a significant growth phase and is looking for a General Manager to accelerate its direct-to-consumer (D2C) growth trajectory.
This brand-new role will head up the existing D2C sales division of the business, executing the day-to-day sales drive and sales activity of Levantine Hill’s ‘Inner Circle’ and ‘Chairman’s List’ (wine club). The key part of this role is to scale up the existing D2C sales channel. You will have
approximately 40 stock keeping units (SKUs) ranging from $35 to $200 per bottle at your disposal.
Your role will be to drive lead conversions and customer acquisition and build upon the existing loyalty of their brands. Restaurant and cellar door visitation is a key part of this.
You will be working with an existing experienced D2C Marketing Manager to drive marketing activity, build loyalty, customer acquisition and engagement strategies to build sales for their range of 40 premium wines.
You will also have reporting to you, D2C sales representatives and work with the cellar door team.
Ideally you will have:
- Experience in mass direct marketing, lead generation, database management and staff recruiting and training are essential.
- Experience managing a team of salespeople) (wine industry experience is not essential but will be favoured).
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Strong organisational, planning and time management skills.
- Creative solutions to motivate your sales team to reach targets.
- CRM management (using Hubspot) for effective lead generation, lead conversion, record-keeping and database build.
- Experience in P&L management and setting budgets for each financial year.
- Experience reporting to owners/executive team.
