Victorian Sales Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Vinous is on the hunt for an energetic Sales Manager to continue developing our well-established Victorian territory and growing domestic portfolio. It’s a diverse territory covering the city, inner city suburbs and select country areas across all premium channels.

Using both our Domestic and French-focused Imported portfolio, the position covers all types of premium venues from small bars to fine dining restaurants to independent retail. The role has complete responsibility for the state of Victoria and there is plenty of scope for the successful candidate to progress quickly, call the shots and shape the territory as their own.

Our portfolio of domestic and imported producers is regarded as one of the finest in the country, having been carefully curated over the last 17 years.

You will be exposed to some of the great wines of Australia and the world. This includes the chance to travel both domestically and internationally to meet our producers, as well as building your own relationships with them when they visit the market.

We will consider all levels of experience, but a highly experienced and well networked candidate will progress quickly to a senior role. If you know our company already and have a working knowledge of our portfolios that would be a major advantage.

 

What are we looking for in our future Victorian Sales Manager?

  •  A current well-established network of customers across premium on and off premise channels in Victoria.
  • The ability to work both autonomously and remotely with a small, highly integrated team.
  •  The organisational skills and sales acumen to exceed your budgets and be richly rewarded.
  • Outstanding communication skills to engage colleagues and customers – from small business owners to corporate organisations.
  • Passion for and in-depth knowledge of premium wine in general, with a focus on France & Australia.
  • A positive solution-seeking attitude and continued lust for learning and curiosity. (CMS/WSET/MW study and qualifications a plus).
  • A full driver’s license, proficient computer skills and unlimited rights to work in Australia.
