SALES MANAGER - BRANDS (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Reporting to the COO, this role is the ideal prospect for an experienced sales executive with solid wine industry knowledge to come on board at a time where we are experiencing major growth not only locally in Australia, but throughout the UK, US and Asia regions with our brands.

The Role & You

You are someone driven and hungry for new market opportunities and equally, are passionate about developing account relationships and brand profitability.  In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Establishing market & territory sales plans
  • Developing business relationships and brand profitability with target accounts
  • Market analysis and key insights
  • Managing distribution relationships to achieve sales objectives
  • Managing export customers to achieve sales objectives
  • Developing new customer relationships and introduce these to distribution partners
  • Conducting sales presentations
  • Distributor staff training
  • Managing online sales platforms and agencies
  • Ensuring tools of trade, price lists, trading terms, promotional activities, product information is available for partners
  • Retail sampling
  • Retail staff training
  • Coordinating brand ambassadorial activities
  • Attending events

What we are looking for

  • 5-10 years' experience in a similarly aligned sales focussed role in the wine industry
  • 5 + years of management experience, working with key distributors and building brands
  • Proven track record in wine industry negotiations including pricing, budgeting, sales targets and profit margins
  • Strong awareness of all levels of the supply chain, including winemaking, productions and stock maintenance

This role will be based in Melbourne (Hawthorn) but we are open to SA candidates.
