Leconfield is a family owned South Australian winery with vineyards in two of Australia’s most highly regarded wine regions, a modern, well equipped winery, respected brands and established domestic and international markets.
There is an opportunity for an energetic and motivated person with experience in and knowledge of the wine industry and an appreciation and understanding of SME’s to join our team to fill the newly created position of Finance and Business Manager.
Based in McLaren Vale and reporting to the General Manager the Finance and Business Manager will have an interesting and challenging leadership role with responsibility for:
- Preparation of budgets and ongoing monitoring and analysis of financial performance
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and finance reports
- Preparation of annual accounts
- Liaising with external accountants and other advisors
- Managing cash flow including dealing with both debtors and creditors as required
- Maintaining a comprehensive winery inventory cost system
- Managing capital expenditure and maintaining the asset register
- All matters relating to insurance including renewals and claims management
- Supporting the General Manager in areas of HR and general administration as needed
- Oversight of IT requirements and provisioning
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS and other statutory and industry returns
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, initiating procedures and taking action to improve financial performance and business operations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Appropriate qualifications in accounting, finance or commerce are essential
- Experience in a similar role in the wine industry and knowledge of EZY Wine is highly desirable
