Established in 2015, Bec Hardy Wines is a family-owned and -operated premium wine business based in McLaren Vale, South Australia. Bec is a 6th generation member of and the first female vigneron from one of Australia’s oldest wine families, the Hardys.
Bec Hardy Wines (BHW) is currently seeking an experienced Export Manager to work on market development in China, our largest export market. The role will involve frequent travel to China.
Skills & Experience:
- Highly proficient in both Mandarin and English
- Highly driven to achieve sales objectives
- Proven experience in developing new business opportunities
- Proven experience in building and maintaining relationship with key customers
- Excellent time management, communication and presentation skills, including experience in hosting customer groups and speaking in group settings
- Being a team player and able to work efficiently with people across different areas of BHW
- And most importantly: passionate about delivering a first-class customer wine experience!
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Generate new customer relationships and sales of BHW products in mainland China
- Servicing and developing existing BHW customer relationships across mainland China
- Provide effective support to assist our distributors in building their business
- Lead brand promotion at events, tastings and dinners
- Represent the brand in appropriate industry associations, regional initiatives and events
- Manage sales and marketing budget
- Manage sales strategies and sales targets, and report on these targets
- Work closely with Managing Directors to achieve sales and market growth targets
The successful candidate will have:
- Undergraduate degree in wine industry or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a wine industry role, preferably in sales
- Responsible Service of Alcohol training
- Existing network of wine industry relationships
- Full Australian driver’s licence
- Full passport
- Australian Permanent Residency
- WSET or similar qualification is desirable
