Kay Brothers Pty Ltd is an iconic McLaren Vale winery still under founding family control after 129 years. We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and self-motivated professional to be part of the leadership team and drive the development of the direct-to-consumer activities at a strategically exciting time for the business.
This challenging role is responsible for the management of cellar door, wine club, consumer events and associated customer facing IT systems. The successful candidate will have experience working in the wine and spirits industry including sales, hospitality, events and marketing along with an appreciation and sound knowledge of premium wine. This position has the opportunity to make a significant difference to the business by developing and implementing strategies to support our premium wine, increasing visitation to cellar door and driving engagement with our large and loyal customer database.
Whilst specific duties will include managing the cellar door team and operations, customer orders, event planning and organisation, the person we are looking for is equally keen to make a significant difference in wine club strategy, direct-to-consumer PR strategy and analysis and reporting of performance in this vital customer segment.
The skills we require are:
- An ability to work autonomously and resolve problems independent of direction
- Exceptional standards of customer service
- High levels of organisation with the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with an eye for design and detail
- Experience in digital marketing and communication campaigns
- Experience in leading and motivating a successful team
- A working knowledge of IT systems including social media, Microsoft Office and POS/CRM/eCommerce systems
- A willingness to put forward and take on new ideas
This is a full-time position that will require flexibility in working hours including some weekend and public holiday working as well as occasional interstate travel. Applicants must have Australian citizenship/residency or a valid existing Australian work visa and a full driving license. The role reports to General Manager, is a key part of, and will work closely with, the management team, particularly the Sales and Marketing Manager.
