Dandelion Vineyards, founded in 2007, meticulously selects its fruit from the pristine locations that South Australia has to offer including, Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley, Eden Valley, Fleurieu Peninsula and McLaren Vale. The multi-regional approach enables Dandelion Vineyards to select varieties from regions with ideal growing conditions for them, ensuring our minimal intervention ethos.
Dandelion Vineyards are looking for an enthusiastic Cellar Manager to join our winery team. Reporting to the winemaking team, key responsibilities will be:
· To provide a vital link between the winemaking and cellar team
· The daily hands-on operation of all cellar tasks, both during and outside of vintage
· Ensuring quality of a diverse and high-quality portfolio of wines through high production standards
· Maintaining winery equipment, internally and through liaising with contactors
· Stock management of all additives and chemicals
· Training and supervising vintage cellarhands
· Organisation and record keeping of oak
· Upholding and building safety standards
· Cleaning and sanitation of all winery equipment and vessels
· Maintain a high standard of housekeeping practices, cleaning and quality control
Job Requirements
· 5+ years of cellar/vintage experience
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· High level of attention to detail
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Forklift licence
· Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic environment
· Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
· Keen interest in wine and winemaking
· Capacity to work extended hours during vintage
