CELLAR DOOR & ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Bec Hardy Wines is a family-owned wine business based in McLaren Vale, South Australia. Bec is a 6th generation member of and the first female vigneron from one of Australia’s oldest wine families, the Hardys.

The team at Bec Hardy is looking for a Cellar Door & Administration Assistant to join our small team. Based at the company’s McLaren Vale office and cellar door, the role will assist with day-to-day administrative tasks as well as management of the Bec Hardy cellar door from Monday to Friday.

The hours can be flexible, ranging from 0.7 FTE to full time.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Effective management of the Bec Hardy cellar door, including making sure it is appropriately stocked, as well as achieving weekly objectives for newsletter and wine club subscriptions
• Answering incoming phone calls
• Provide administrative support for all customer order and shipping enquiries
• Provide support in the ordering of packaging, labels and office supplies
• Manually process retail phone orders and orders from events / cellar door
• Maintain Shopify dashboard, including making sure website bookings are processed and checking that all orders have gone through

The successful candidate will have:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to establish, develop and maintain relationships
• Responsible Service of Alcohol
• Full Australian driver’s licence
• Working knowledge of Shopify is desirable, but not essential
• Wine industry experience is desirable, but not essential
