Chief Financial Officer, Wirra Wirra
(Wine Jobs:
Management & Administration)
Full Time
Morton Philips P/L
McLaren Vale SA,
South Australia
High profile wine industry brand
Exceptional leadership role
Hands on operational finance focus
Wirra Wirra is nestled “amongst the gums” in McLaren Vale, South Australia - a picturesque winery with over 100 years of history and reputation for producing world class wines. The ironstone cellars of Wirra Wirra house a history rich in mischief, adventure, and dedication to creating great wines. Today, the business encompasses winemaking at two sites, Wirra Wirra in McLaren Vale and Ashton Hills in the Adelaide Hills, grape growing and viticulture in both regions, tourism, and hospitality at two cellar doors and Harry’s Deli, in McLaren Vale.
We are seeking to engage a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide executive level commercial and operational leadership for the Wirra Wirra business. This role will oversee the finance and accounting function, management of IT systems and infrastructure, legal, insurance, forecasting, management reporting, planning and analysis and advice on capital expenditure, acquisitions, and divestments.
The CFO will also act as the Company Secretary and will work with the CEO, Management team and Board on strategy and ensuring the company has appropriate plans in place to maximise long term shareholder returns. This important administrative function is coupled with the ability to present financial position and performance of the company and make appropriate recommendations where required.
With experience in cost of production and inventory management in the wine industry, the successful candidate will be a team player, have a track record of working cross-functionally and embrace the diverse nature of the role and have a roll up the sleeve attitude to get things done. Your analytical skills, attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with both a commercial and strategic lens will provide a proactive approach to the operational leadership of the business.
This is a rare opportunity to work in an environment where history, culture and innovation have successfully combined to create a global wine brand and business in South Australia.
Confidential enquiries can be made by contacting Phil Morton or Delinda Kalic at Morton Philips on (08) 8210 8510. Applications are welcome in Word format via SEEK.
