DOWIE DOOLE is a story of two terroirs and time.  Our home McLaren Vale, South Australia has unique, ancient terroirs that produce world class wines. DOWIE DOOLE’s Estate Vineyards are located in two of McLaren Vale’s most sought after and unique terroirs; The Dowie Vineyard on the sandy soils of Blewitt Springs and the Doole Vineyard on the ancient rocks of Tatachilla.  These terroirs have evolved over time with geology as old as 650M years.

The Tasting Pod opened in November 2019. Four shipping containers placed in the vineyard and then fitted out to give a refined tasting experience in a raw environment.

The Role

We're seeking an enthusiastic cellar door sales assistant to join our team at the DOWIE DOOLE Tasting Pod.

10-15+ hours per week – must be available to work weekends.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A strong passion for wine
  • Wine knowledge
  • Experience in sales/hospitality
  • WSET Level 2
  • A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate


Duties

  • Tell the DOWIE DOOLE narrative
  • Deliver a personable experience
  • Give customers wine tastings
  • Process sales
  • Sign up mailing list & club members
  • Polish glasses
  • Prepare platters
  • Open/close cellar door
