A rare opportunity has arisen to join this award-winning McLaren Vale Winery, as Manager of our Rooftop Cellar Door - an integral business unit within our operation. With sweeping views overlooking our age-old Ambassador block and beyond, our state of the art, new cellar door is located at 291 Foggo Road. On offer is a true career opportunity for a motivated hospitality professional with demonstrated management experience.
Reporting to senior management, the Cellar Door Manager is responsible for:
- Delivering an exceptional experience for all cellar door patrons.
- Recruiting and managing casual / permanent part-time staff.
- Driving overall DTC strategy in consultation with senior management.
- Driving Social Media strategy in consultation with senior management.
- Managing ‘Hand Picked’ Wine Club communications including generation and continued growth.
- Managing incoming venue enquiries / booking system and driving repeat visitation.
- Daily reconciliation and stock control.
- Maintaining cleanliness and overall presentation of the cellar door (including coordination with external contractors).
- Managing and driving growth with local wholesale accounts.
- Interacting with external suppliers (food, cleaning products, drinks, etc.).
- Creating and implementing regular events.
- Cultivating strong relationships with wine club members, wholesale customers and cellar door patrons.
