The Pirramimma wine story is rich, colourful, and steeped in McLaren Vale history.
Still family owned and run, and largely from the same property founded by AC Johnston over a century ago comprising over 130 hectares of prime McLaren Vale fruit, Pirramimma and the Johnston family are synonymous with McLaren Vale. Four generations of Johnston’s have called McLaren Vale home, making Pirramimma one of Australia’s oldest wineries to still be in family control.
Our opening hours are Monday – Friday 9.30-4.30pm Saturday & Sunday 11-5pm inc. Public Holidays.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Deliver a high level of customer experience.
- Communicate and interact with a varying range of local and international customers.
- Convert tastings into sales.
- Sign up new wine club members.
- Cellar Door presentation standards.
- Packing & dispatching some wholesale orders.
- Team first work ethic.
This position will suit someone who loves wine and interacting with customers. Some wine knowledge is preferrable with a willingness to learn.
The perfect candidate will have:
- A passion for wine and learning about wine.
- Customer first approach.
- Current RSA.
- Individual autonomy and initiative.
- High level of verbal communication skills.
- Available to start ASAP.
Preferred qualifications:
- Cellar door/wine retail/sommelier experience
- WSET or other wine-focused qualifications
