Established in 1981 in the heart of McLaren Vale, Haselgrove Wines hand craft a comprehensive selection of emerging Mediterranean varieties that excel in our region, more traditional varieties that have put McLaren Vale on the map and delicate whites from elevated Adelaide Hills vineyards.

An opportunity has arisen to join this award-winning, 5 Red Star McLaren Vale Winery, as Cellar Door Attendant at our Rooftop Cellar Door - an integral business unit within our operation. With sweeping views overlooking our age-old Ambassador block and beyond, our state of the art, new cellar door is located at 291 Foggo Road. On offer is an exciting opportunity for a motivated hospitality professional, who is energetic & engaging, results orientated, and thrives when dealing with people.   

Reporting to the Cellar Door Manager, this role requires:

  • A genuine love of wine, food and meeting new people is a must!
  • A warm, welcoming and fun disposition
  • Experience with CRM, POS systems 
  • Ability to prioritise and coordinate tasks with excellent organisational skills
  • Some food preparation 
  • An eye for detail and a commitment to quality
  • RSA certificate required 
  • RP badge is preferable but not essential 

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Demonstrated experience in cellar door and / or hospitality industry
  • Previous events and functions experience
  • A can-do attitude
  • The ability to work in a close team environment as well as autonomously
  • The ability to adapt to changing work priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to work on budgets and drive sales revenue 
  • Demonstrated understanding of work, health, and safety responsibilities
  • The position will require working on weekends, peak periods during school holidays and public holidays
