With almost 100k active members (we call them Angels) and over 60 Independent winemakers we have a huge opportunity now to harnessing the power of this community, creative experiences with/for them with a real focus on how we get the best kept secret in wine out there in a way that drives word of mouth and earned media. 

If every Angel told just one person about us we would achieve our North Star.So we’re after a Community & Earned Manager to help us do exactly that!

Our community of passionate customers, known as Angels, empowers gifted independent winemakers in Australia and New Zealand. In exchange, Angels gain exclusive access to superb hand-crafted wines at incredible prices.

Our innovative approach addresses key challenges faced by talented winemakers, providing them upfront funding, distribution channels, and direct connections with consumers. By streamlining the sales and marketing approach, Naked Wines delivers exceptional value to our customers and supports 65 independent winemakers. Talented, hard-working small business owners who in turn, support growers, farmers and their own local communities.

Naked Wines Australia is based in Manly on Sydney’s stunning Northern Beaches (and remotely too) and of course, you can be assured there is great wine flowing!

We have almost 100,000 passionate Angels, over 60+ winemakers and partners beyond this that are currently part of our mission to disrupt the industry for the good of all involved. 

At the foundations of our success is an ability to harness the power of our community, to create exceptional experiences, inform what we do and to grow through word of mouth / earned channels. A recommendation still beats marketing any day of the week. Even better if we can use this to create true ripples in the market. 

We have the gifts of a community that are genuinely passionate, involved and seeking to get actively involved - but we have not tapped into the potential of this yet at all. 

Naked Wines is seeking a passionate and experienced Community and Earned Manager to lead the engagement and growth of our vibrant community of customers (Angels), winemakers & partners to a point that drives an unbeatable experience (retention) and as a key focus creates true advocacy (word of mouth and acquisition). 

Key Responsibilities 

Pioneer at Naked an approach that puts community and earned in lockstep - creating powerful community experiences & content that truly engages and activates our army Angels & Winemakers.

Involvement & Talkability are key so you will develop and execute strategies to drive engagement, word-of-mouth, and referrals (including leadership & evolution of our Member Get Member product). 

Cultivate relationships with Angels (customers), winemakers, and partners to foster a sense of belonging and shared purpose.

Manage and moderate online / offline communities, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience.

As a North star - Transform our approach to community so that it becomes one of our biggest drivers of retention, acquisition and insight. 

Collaborate with central paid digital teams to amplify successful content.

Partner with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, product) to align community initiatives with business goals.

Requirements

Here are the skills we’d love you to have: 

Love big thinkers but those who like to “make it happen”  with a real MVP mindset - take a hypothesis, put it into action and then scale with success. 

Passion for cultivating relationships & confident to be the face of community with our Angels & Winemakers. 

Experience driving earned / PR / Word of mouth - amplifying proof points so that they ripple inside and outside of Naked. 

Useful to have Event /experience management - both physical and virtual 

An eagerness for collaboration, thriving in small cross-functional team environments.

Resilience under pressure, maintaining composure in fast-paced scenarios.

Superior relationship management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in community management, advocacy or earned (industry agnostic from social movements to B2B!)

Demonstrated success in driving engagement, word-of-mouth, and advocacy 

Strong hands on content creation/ideation and storytelling skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Passion for making an impact and building relationships.

Understanding of owned and earned media channels - how to make waves

Experience with community management tools and platforms.
