About the role
We are looking for Sommeliers and junior sommeliers to join our Front of House team. You will be responsible for implementing our high standards of service and beverage quality. Reporting directly to the Venue Manager, you will maintain constancy and collaborate with our kitchen team to develop and deliver our product.
This is a chance to work with our extensive wine list (400 listings) featuring some of the finest wines from Australia and around the world, including a wide selection of Middle Eastern wines and spirits. Our wine list has been awarded a three glass rating from the Australian Wine Awards every year since 2009 and we have built a strong relationship with a number of suppliers giving us access to rare and allocated wines.

Duties
- Assist our customers with beverage choices and match drinks to dishes from our menus
- Provide exceptional customer service that creates a memorable experience
- Learn our food and beverage menu and be able to serve both
- Be able to run a section if required
- Assist with weekly stocktake and inventory management
- Take an active role in staff training
- Develop an identity within our team and become a crucial part of our customers' experience
Skills and experience
- WSET or similar beverage qualification (preferable)
- A current Victorian RSA certificate
- Must be able to work in Australia in a full time capacity
- 2 years experience in a similar role (preferable)
- Self motivated and accountable
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
