An opportunity exists for a full time Venue Manager in Kangarilla at one of Adelaide Hills newest wineries, Anvers. We are looking for a person who has the relevant experience coupled with enthusiasm and excitement.
Our restaurant, cellar door and function venue is growing rapidly and we are needing someone to steer the ship and create a venue they are proud to call their own.
Anvers needs the right person to drive the hospitality outlets of the business. A person to manage the restaurant and cellar door, including promotion and marketing the venue, using your drive and connections to build ultimate success.
Along with managing the restaurant and cellar door the successful person will bring their business development acumen to implement events within the venue; pop ups, live music and collabs with your hospitality connections. This isn’t a stock standard role – this is a role for someone that wants to make a mark within the industry utilising this destination venue.
A generous salary package is on offer reflecting the skills, experience, and importance of this key role. We are understanding to the location and the salary reflects this especially for a four-day week lunch service only.
What we are looking for:
- A seasoned hospitality professional, with demonstrated management experience of at least three years
- A broad range of skills and experience including but not limited to ordering and stock control, staff training and performance management, WH&S knowledge, rostering, reservations management & budgeting/reporting
- Strive to create a memorable dining atmosphere and experience for all our guests
- Have a positive attitude, enthusiasm and be self-motivated
- Display strong communication, leadership & organisational skills with the ability to manage, mentor and lead a team of varying experience levels
- Demonstrated ability in building effective relationships with both guests, FOH and Kitchen teams, and other departments
- Have a passion for hospitality that shows throughout everything you do
- Lead by example in all areas of the role
- South Australian RSA and RP Badge or willing to complete
- Enthusiasm and passion for the South Australian Food & Wine industry.
