Cellar Door Sales Attendant (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Savannah Estate lies on the gateway to the beautiful Mount View which boasts some of the most stunning views of the Hunter Valley. Savannah Estate Wines are produced from small select parcels of premium fruit grown in renowned viticulture regions throughout Australia. Savannah hand selects varietals from Australia’s most unique areas that best reflect their regionality and character.

Savannah Estate is currently looking for high energy, enthusiastic and motivated person to fill a Casual Cellar Door Sales assistant position with a range of shift opportunities which include weekend work.

The right applicant will have; 

  • High standards of personal presentation
  • Punctual, reliable, trustworthy
  • Customer service focused and outgoing attitude
  • The ability to lift cases of wine
  • Comfortable using online POS systems
  • Cellar door sales experience preferred but not required
  • An interest in and appreciation for wine
  • The ability to work unsupervised

Reporting to the Cellar Door Manager the duties and responsibilities include; 

  • Responsible for courteous and personable Cellar Door wine tastings
  • Promote the sale of Savannah Estate wines, wine club, and mailing list
  • Promote Responsible Service of Alcohol
  • Process transactions, respond to email correspondence and phone enquiries promptly
  • Process incoming orders for shipment and any relevant customer service: payment, delivery enquiries, change of details, etc.
  • Ensure cellar door is kept tidy, glasses polished, shelves and fridges stocked
  • Responsible for end of day reports
  • Confident hosting both small and group wine tastings

Essential Requirements; 

  • Possession of a current RSA 
  • Current Australian Driver’s License 
  • Available weekends and the occasional weekday
