Kalleske Wines, located at Greenock in the north-western Barossa Valley has forged an enviable reputation in a short period of time. With numerous awards and favourable reviews received both domestically and internationally it has fast become recognised for ultra-premium wines. All wines are made on site using traditional methods with organic / biodynamic fruit sourced entirely from family vineyards, with the oldest surviving Shiraz vines dating back to an 1875 planting. Wines are sold across Australia and into all main overseas markets.
The successful candidate will be warm and friendly, and responsible for ensuring the smooth coordination of all sales and office administrative activities. The position would suit an enthusiastic and motivated person who wants a new challenge and a chance to take on a diverse role as part of a growing team.
Some of the duties and responsibilities include:
- Undertake day to day administration tasks and support our office functions
- Work closely with our distributors and importers including order dispatch, invoicing and export documentation
- Dispatch local and domestic trade customer orders
- Daily processing of online orders
- End of month reconciling and reporting
- Accounts payable
- Debtor management
- Maintain existing supplier agreements
- Identifying and improving systems and procedures
- Answering phone calls and general enquiries
- Mail and banking
- Maintaining office stationary and kitchen supplies
- Bring strong administration skills, knowledge and experience to the team
- Support to cellar door when needed
- General support to other team members as required
The Successful candidate will have:
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Formal training would be an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Well organised and able to plan
- Leadership and self-management abilities
- Able to successfully multitask and work according to deadlines
- Be highly motivated and self-confident in your dealings with clients and staff
- High level of attention to detail and a team player
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and autonomously
- Excellent computer skills and competent in Office suite of programs (particularly Excel) and POS database
- Flexibility is a must as the pace changes and time frames for tasks can become urgent
- Positive 'can do' attitude along with a good strong work ethic
- Wine industry knowledge desirable
- Strong interest in wine and positive about organics
Experience in a similar role and a genuine passion for food and wine is ideal. We are happy to train you and fill the gaps specific for the wine industry.
