Pindarie is a multiple Tourism award winning cellar door located on the Western Ridge in the iconic Barossa Valley. We have a new position available for a Wine room Ambassador to join a dynamic team of people in a growing business. The person we seek will be strong in: wine knowledge, sales and marketing. Will have a good knowledge of tourism, hospitality, digital marketing and high-level customer service.  The person also needs to be motivated with strong leadership skills and be able to work in a team environment.

Tertiary education in some form of wine sales and marketing will be advantageous and the applicant needs to demonstrate they have the following:

• The ability to Evaluate and describe wine styles, varieties, characteristics and faults.
• Previous experience in wine sales and marketing
• A minimum of two years supervising people.
• Experience or knowledge in hospitality and a strong interest in regional food.
• Motivation, innovation, efficiency, and the skills to deliver high level customer service.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of POS and CRM systems
• Knowledge of digital marketing platforms,
• Hold a Current RSA and Responsible Persons badge

Reporting to the Cellar Door Manager, Key Duties involve:

• Weekend cellar door sales working Friday- Tuesday with one weekend off a month, (3 weekends a month rostered)
• Supervision of staff on weekends when not with CD Manager
• Continually improve and work upon the wine tasting experience for the customer.
• Assistance with Events and trade shows
• Assist with dispatching wine club orders and liaising with club members.
• Assistant to the Senior Wine Room Ambassador for mail order clubs and digital marketing.
• Monthly senior staff meetings implementing wine sales marketing ideas.
