Cellar Door & Restaurant Staff (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Located on the banks of the Barwon river at the historic Fyansford Paper Mill close to Geelong, Provenance Wines is a five red star winery. Our wines are produced from select vineyards that  grow across the premium south-west Victorian regions of Geelong, Ballarat and Henty. Onsite at Fyansford we run our winery and a restaurant/events space. 

We are currently looking for enthusiastic, customer focussed  team members to work in a variety of roles in our restaurant, cellar door and event operations. We have a range of positions and shifts available which include weekend work.

The right applicant will; 

  • Have high standards of personal presentation
  • Be punctual, reliable and trustworthy
  • Be willing to provide high level customer service
  • Have a friendly and positive attitude
  • Be comfortable using POS systems
  • An interest in and appreciation for wine
  • Be willing to learn
  • Cellar door and Restaurant experience preferred but not required

Reporting to the Restaurant or Events Manager the duties and responsibilities include; 

  • Responsible, courteous and personable interactions
  • Promote the sale of Provenance wines, wine club, and mailing list
  • Promote Responsible Service of Alcohol
  • Process transactions and phone enquiries promptly
  • Ensure cellar door is kept tidy, shelves and fridges stocked
  • Contribute to end of day reports

Essential Requirements; 

  • Possession of a current RSA 
  • Current Australian Driver’s License 
  • Available weekends and the occasional weekday
