Casual Front of House Cellar Door/Restaurant Assistants (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

Saint Aidan Wines is one of Ferguson Valley’s boutique, family-owned wineries, offering a unique cellar door tasting experience and casual dining with an amazing view.

We are seeking passionate, enthusiastic, and energetic hospitality individuals to join our Front of House Team, in our Cellar Door and Restaurant.

This position is ideal for someone who has a commitment to customer service, a genuine passion for food and wine, and has the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment ensuring a positive experience for every person that visits our winery.

The right candidate will possess:

  • Responsible Service of alcohol Certificate,
  • Hospitality experience in a similar role,
  • Basic wine knowledge,
  • Strong interpersonal skills,
  • Be motivated and hands on, with a ‘can-do’ attitude,
  • Flexibility and availability to work across a rotating roster inc. holidays, weekends, and some nights.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Serving, greeting and communicating with customers
  • Serving of all beverages and food service
  • Handling money and the point of sale
  • Polishing of glassware, crockery, and cutlery
  • Maintaining a strong relationship with staff and customers
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of the menu, wine, and other details to describe to customers
  • Cellar Door upkeep cleaning duties as necessary

We are offering 2-3 shifts a week, including weekend work, with the potential for more shifts for the right candidate. These shifts will mainly cover the lunch time service in our Cellar Door and Restaurant, however some evening events, functions and weddings will be added onto your roster.
