We are looking for a full-time venue manager to join our team.
About Bangor Vineyard Shed
Bangor Vineyard Shed at Dunalley, is one of Tasmania’s leading vineyard cellar door and restaurants. In 2019 we were awarded Gold at the Tasmanian Tourism Awards and Silver in the National Awards in 2020. We are a successful and growing company, looking for an experienced Venue Manager to lead our team.
Our family owned vineyard consistently produces some of Tasmania’s best wines. Combined with the high quality, locally based food from our kitchen team, we offer our visitors a wine and food experience second to none. We have a committed and passionate team of staff, and a great local community of regular guests who love visiting Bangor. All in a fantastic location with amazing views.
About the Venue Manager position
Leading our team of awesome staff, you will be responsible for daily operation of our cellar door & restaurant, delivering a premium wine and food experience to all our guests.
The role is a hands-on one, and a significant proportion of your time will be spent on the floor looking after our guests.
The role offers regular hours and a great work/life balance, with a mixture of weekday and weekend work. There are opportunities for training and professional development.
Duties will include:
· Working closely with the owners and senior staff to develop and implement processes and procedures to meet business performance and sales targets.
· Daily cellar door and restaurant management.
· Staff training and mentoring.
· Wine tasting, wine sales, management of wine club.
· Planning, managing, and hosting functions, events and tour groups.
About you
Our Venue Manager will be:
o Passionate about delivering an exceptional guest experience, and have excellent people skills.
o Passionate about Tasmanian wine and food. Demonstrated experience and qualifications in wine tasting and sales desirable.
o Excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to manage, prioritise, and coordinate the workload in a busy hospitality venue.
o Strong leadership skills with an awareness of culture and the importance of team building within a busy workplace.
o A great motivator, trainer and mentor.
o Motivated, energetic and creative.
o Experience in marketing and promotion desirable.
o Unflappable and able to work well under pressure.
o Demonstrated history of delivering on business performance targets.
o Have excellent attention to detail and quality at all times.
