With some exciting recent changes, the company is currently taking the next step in evolving itself, the brand, and the vineyards that create the great wines in the Rymill Coonawarra stable.
An opportunity now exists in the company for a highly motivated individual to fulfil the role of Vineyard Manager.
Reporting directly to the General Manager/Winemaker, this exciting position will primarily be responsible for coordinating daily, weekly, and seasonal vineyard work with the vineyard team, among many other roles and responsibilities. Working with the General Manager and external Viticulture support team, the assessment of individual block performance to meet quality criteria, identification of viticultural issues and implementation of solutions, and the renovation and development of existing and new blocks are all part and parcel of this role.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The successful applicant will be team-oriented and should have strong attention to detail and time management skills, as well formal viticultural training/qualifications. Hands on vineyard experience and knowledge of operations across a range of varieties, vineyard types and regions, will be highly regarded. Experience of implementing quality control and environmental control systems (Freshcare, Entwine etc), OHS policy, and other vineyard systems will also be beneficial. Truck licence, forklift tickets, chemical handling certs, and other related qualification would be of a benefit as well.
The position will require flexible working hours during vintage (including weekends), and throughout the growing season (frost watch etc).
