Hollick Estates is a boutique winery within the famous Coonawarra wine region. Established in 1983 they are renown for their Cabernet Sauvignon and award winning restaurant. The modern Hollick Cellar Door is open 7 days a week and has the perfect integrated historical charm, making it a ‘must see’ for visitors to the region.

The Role

This is the perfect role for someone who will relish the opportunity to build their team and make their mark. The General Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations and needs to be the foundation of a strong team and thrive in collaborative environments, including the winery, restaurant, cellar door, accommodation and administrative team. Your primary goal will be to drive sales and lead the venue through development and implement operational growth and strategies while ensuring the consistent delivery of exceptional service. You report directly to the owners and all stakeholders.  

Responsibilities

  • Create an environment that promotes great performance and positive morale
  • Previous experience in a sales management role within a Winery or Hospitality
  • Identify and capitalise on opportunities to enhance profitability
  • Oversee Hollick fiscal activity including budgeting, reporting and auditing
  • Assure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and compliant
  • Identify new business opportunities by country and region
  • Ability to oversee Vineyard Management and Wine making to ensure best quality and quantity outcome
  • Analysing accounting and financial data
  • Maintaining and reporting on workplace health and safety compliance
  • To plan, design, develop and implement different sales activities by researching the customers needs and requirements
  • Develop constructive and effective solutions to any issues 
  • Track sales goals and meet planned sales targets
