Main & Cherry is building a stunning, brand new cellar door at Chandlers Hill, in the northern edge of the McLaren Vale wine region and the Gateway to the Fleurieu Peninsula. We are due to open to the public in early December 2022 and are currently recruiting for:

Cellar Door Sales - casual, part-time and junior positions:

We are looking for Cellar Door Sales Assistants who will provide an exceptional experience for our customers.

Flexible hours, with a Thurs-Mon rotating roster, with weekend and Public Holiday work availability essential.

You will assist the Cellar Door Manager in the day to day operation of the Cellar Door and provide our guests with a memorable tasting experience.

You will have a passion for wine and great customer service, be reliable, well presented, punctual and have a “can do” attitude with a fun and friendly disposition.

Key to your success will be your demonstrated skills and experience in the following areas:

  • Current RSA certificate
  • Available to work weekends and weekdays (as well as some public holidays)
  • Team player and contributor to a positive team culture
  • Strong work ethic
  • Flexible & dynamic attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced establishment
  • Experience working in wine retail, hospitality, cellar door, sales or alike
  • A passion for wine, with good wine knowledge
  • Customer focused and service driven, with an understanding that "first impressions count"
  • Use of POS systems and practices
  • Food handling and barista skills also advantageous.

Duties will include:

  • Conducting tastings and delivering sales
  • Signing up new wine club members
  • Packing and dispatching wines
  • Delivering guests a memorable wine experience and impeccable service
  • Liaising with enquiries and bookings via email and phone
  • Possibly food handling and prep work
  • Some cleaning and maintaining tidiness of cellar door

For junior level positions, we are looking for reliable staff under the age of 19 years, who are great communicators, physically fit, can assist customers, prep and serve food, clean dishes and any other required tasks.
