Talits Estate in Broke Fordwich is looking for a 3 day per week Cellar Door Sales Assistant.

We're a small boutique vineyard in the Hunter Valley that is passionate about making high-quality wines and creating a cellar door experience that guests want to come back time and time again.

Our property is very beautiful, French-inspired and features a brand new top of the line cellar door.

Whilst responsible for day to day duties of the cellar door, the primary focus of this role will be customer service, sales, event and function coordination support and some office duties.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to

  • Providing friendly and knowledgeable service to our guests in the Cellar Door which will include conducting wine tastings for individuals and groups
  • Maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of the Cellar Door, Winery and grounds
  • Stock maintenance including heavy lifting
  • Administration and computer use
  • Multitasking and working well under pressure
  • Winery event and function co-ordination support

Position Prerequisites

  • A great attitute and sense of humour
  • A current RSA (responsible service of alcohol certificate) for NSW
  • A current driver’s licence and reliable transport
  • A passion for wine
  • Basic computer skills

Desirable but not essential traits

  • Previous wine sales or cellar door sales experience
  • Social Media Management Knowledge

The required days of work would ideally be Friday, Saturday and Sunday – 9am to 5.30pm.
