Sirromet Wines is a progressive and successful family owned and operated Queensland business, situated on the beautiful hill tops of Mt Cotton. Sirromet is a Five Star winery with over 800 wine awards, and is quickly becoming a well-known wine brand both domestically and internationally. To assist in furthering our growth and to cement our brand within the wine industry, we seek the services of a vibrant, self-motivated Business Development professional who has what it takes to work in a fast paced, yet highly rewarding working environment.

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Business Development professional wanting to progress in their career and step into a great opportunity. This role encompasses the following accountabilities:

  • Maintain our existing corporate partnerships and sponsorships, becoming a respected business driver with these partners by adding value to both their business and Sirromet.
  • Creative ability to identify ways and new ideas to drive their business, or develop new sales channels for our wines.
  • Have an ability to network across all levels of a partnership, from frontline staff to CEO's, and develop a professional relationship. Confidence to provide wine training to frontline staff through to showcasing our wines to senior management.
  • Focus on Corporate and Government Business Development, building a base of new corporate accounts that purchase wine.
  • Hands on and willing to be involved in events, some which are on weekends to ensure they are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Willing to be social and an exemplary ambassador and attend industry events, host customers or network for new opportunities.
  • Increase the revenue yield by achieving monthly, quarterly, annual KPI targets.

What we are looking for:

This role is not for the faint at heart and consideration will only be given to those who meet the selection criteria below:

  • It is essential you have 3-5 years current Sales Experience in the liquor or food and beverage industry across Brisbane and/or Gold Coast.  
  • It is ideal if you have an existing network of venues and contacts across corporate client channels.
  • Must understand the dynamics of selling, possess strong mathematical knowledge around GP's and Margins, Profit and Loss, as well as knowing how to make a difference at account level to increase sales.
  • Time management, interpersonal, communication skills and organisational skills a must.
  • It is essential that you are willing to work outside of the norm 9-5 hours to suit events, as you would be expected to attend events to oversee their successful execution.
  • A full Queensland drivers licence.
