The Vineyard: Located on the East Coast of Tasmania (near Bicheno), The Hazards Vineyard is a picturesque cool climate vineyard consisting of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. This 180Ha vineyard produces exceptional quality grapes destined for the highly acclaimed Devil’s Corner Wines.
The Role: Reporting to the Vineyard Manager, you will be responsible for guiding a dedicated and talented operations team undertaking a variety of vineyard activities to meet seasonal requirements of existing plantings. Additionally, you will also be accountable for the development of new plantings in accordance with best practice management standards as well as being tasked with overseeing various contractors and monitoring their quality and performance throughout the year.
What’s required: Practical experience in plant operation, an ability to communicate at all levels and the capacity to undertake administration duties including OHS compliance. Experience in a viticultural or horticultural environment and a keen eye for detail will be essential to succeed in this role. Tertiary qualifications aren't essential however this would be an ideal learning environment for a graduate to develop.
