Senior Inventory Controller (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

This role is responsible for managing and reporting on the Dry Goods and Finished Goods Inventory for Accolade Wines at Berri Estates and  monitoring warehouse utilisation and capacity requirements.
The Senior Inventory Controller role will also include management of and reporting on all inventory control related activities and reporting to senior management.

• Development of inventory policy and procedures
• Implement current and future inventory policy
• SMI managed and reduced
  • SMI reporting current and improvement
  • Samples for QA testing and Customer tastings.
  • Removal of unsalable inventory
  • Provision requirement recommendation
• Lead, manage and develop a small inventory team
• Provide reporting and analysis as required
• Prepare monthly Inventory Report and weekly inventory report information
• Conduct annual stocktakes across multiple sites
• Measure, manage and report on third party warehousing performance; Cycle Counts, damages,
  • Authorisation of damages for removal
  • Identify and resolve issues/trends
• Inspect customer returns to determine saleability.
• Facilitate removal of problem inventory
• Product Management assistance
  • Pallet factors
  • Product reservations and holds outside of normal allocations in JDE.
  • Run in/Run out of products
  • Sparkling State of Play input
• Execute inventory control measures to ensure the company minimises stock holding and maximises stock system and paperwork accuracy
• Initiate and lead lean improvement activities
• Monitoring, evaluating and reassignment of work as needed
• Suggest and implement new ways to improve and promote quality and performance
• Develop and implement strategies to optimise stock accuracy and integrity

• Any other tasks as reasonably required.
• Comply with all SHEQ policies and procedures

• Excellent attention to detail
• Advance computer skills
• Post secondary training in Inventory Control similar to APICS preferred
• An analytical mind with a strong attention to detail
• Solid knowledge of data analysis, inventory management software, and forecasting techniques
• Experience with ERP and related procurement systems
• Strong negotiation skills with proven track record in logistics management

• Experience in inventory transactions and recording
