Elderton Wines is a small family owned winery producing quality wines from vineyards around both the Barossa and Eden Valleys. We work hard to achieve excellence in all areas of grape growing and winemaking and we continually strive to achieve the best we can whilst working towards a sustainable future.
Our small team is based in Nuriootpa and currently there is an opportunity for an experienced cellar hand to join us. A motivated, physically fit individual with a positive attitude and quality focus, with the ability to work alone are key attributes for this role. A minimum years experience with proven competency in all cellar operations is essential. As usual during the harvest period, longer hours need to worked.
The Cellar hand will work in closely and report directly to the winemaker.
The role includes but is not limited to:
- Vintage Processing from crushing to pressing
- Pump overs
- Oak operations
- Making additions to wine
- General wine movements
- Racking and blending wines
- Wine filtration & preparation for bottling
-management and organisation of vintage hands
The successful candidate will have a current driver’s and fork lift licenses.
