From executing strategy, creating sales programs, on-going import partner communication and selling a diverse portfolio of wine brands, you will help Delicato Family Wines grow its International business. You will work with an experienced cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, communications, logistics and more. You will create, manage and lead programs in conjunction with the Delicato International team as well as our trade partners.

Delicato Family wines is looking for a person for the new position of Sales Manager- Asia to join their international team, are you that person?  The successful candidate will be a self-starter, show key account knowledge and initiative, entrepreneurial flair, professionalism, integrity and attention to detail. 


POSITION SUMMARY:

The Asian Sales Manager will be an active participant in the Asian region Commercial Team.  This position will be responsible for the sales, analysis, planning and execution elements of Delicato Family Wines’ in the Asian region. 

 

POSITION DUTIES:

·   Effectively manage current import partners business as well as build new relationships to increase the size of the business and expand distribution.

·   Manage territory including opportunity analysis, credentials presentations, pricing and promotional plans, new product presentations, forecasting, trade spend management, and US based chain account channel communication and other customer requirements.

·   Form excellent relationships at all levels within the customer’s organization

·   Form excellent relationships at all levels within the Delicato organization.

·   Execute profitability and volume targets, by developing long-term business strategies that align with organization long-term goals.

·   Build and execute annual importer business plans and internal budgets.

·   Prospect new business opportunities through customer segmentation, prioritization, and new wine brand development.

·   Prepare and present regular business reviews & product presentations to both import partners and internal stakeholders.

·   Maintain a high degree of market and beverage alcohol industry knowledge.

·   Communicate internally amongst Delicato’s, Finance, Marketing and Distribution departments to ensure organization alignment

·   Maintains a high level of competitor knowledge in terms of products, pricing, discounts and sales levels.

·   Special projects as required or assigned.

Experience / Qualifications:

·   A degree/diploma in sales & marketing or equivalent education /training desired

·   4 – 6 years stretching experience in similar position preferably in the FMCG sector at international level.

·   Fluent English, with an Asian language as (first) second language as an asset

·   Experience with importer management and sales execution

·   Wine knowledge and/or appreciation
