About the role:
Alcatraz Sydney is a new, multifaceted venue opening in the inner west. Primarily serving as a bespoke cocktail and Tapas bar, Alcatraz also doubles down as a live music venue and hub for everything culture, all within a heritage, industrial building and fit-out. This Role is a cornerstone piece to our small collaborative team, and therefore prioritises an individual that compliments an upbeat work culture with a swiss army knife approach. Our cocktail bartender role is best suited to a creative person looking to build on their cocktail making experience in the hospitality space, whilst also sharing a passion to work with and amongst the array of creative industries surrounding Alcatraz.
Key responsibilities:
- Implementation of high level cocktail mixing
- Assisting management with preparation for service
- Opening and closing the venue
- Customer service
- Liaising bar operations, customer experience and bookings
- Assisting with marketing and promotions of food and drinks
- Upholding venue protocol and procedures
Experience:
- 2+ years as a bartender
- Professional cocktail making experience required
- Holds a current RSA certificate
- Understanding of POS systems

- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Strong work ethic and ability to apply themselves to any task presented
- Passionate about cocktail making
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
