Founded in McLaren Vale in 2003 RedHeads moved to the Barossa for the 2014 vintage to start a new chapter and develop grower relationships across South Australia.  In 2019 we opened a new winery in Angaston to keep up with the global demand for our range of award-winning wines. The RedHeads brand is now sold in 25 countries across the world our next ambition is to entertain visitors at our Angaston Rd site.

We are looking for an energetic self-starter to join our team in the Barossa Valley. The fulltime position will initially encompass the setup and laying of the foundations of our first cellar door including translating our unique brand identity into a cellar door & visitor experience.  Development of budgets and concepts will be key to the successful opening date planned to be 1st November 2019.

Reporting to the Manager, this role encompasses but is not limited to:

  • Translation of the RedHeads brand into a unique cellar door experience.
  • Develop and manage an interim cellar door offering early birds an opportunity to discover our award-winning wines.
  • Introduction of a CRM system to ensure we can develop a Wine Club offer, manage our customers and monitor sales, pre-release offers and a monthly/quarterly newsletter or blog.
  • Working in conjunction with the Manager to ensure the Sales budgets for both local trade and retail channels are beaten!
  • Build and manage a coordinated digital & print marketing plan to drive new business to the cellar door (including social media).
  • Day-to-day cellar door operations, RedHeads Experience (vineyard/winery tours) and event programme planning.
  • Cellar door, local trade and event stock management processes included internal reporting.
  • Develop and maintain a suitable range of budgeted POS, packaging and general use items
  • Liaising with SA tourism bodies (including bus and tour operators) to maximise visitor and sales numbers
  • Coordinate VIP tours and tastings as required
  • Develop and manage a transactional website to offer DTC sales opportunities and delivery (launch 2020)

The successful candidate will ideally possess:

  • Excellent customer service and time management skills
  • Proven track record in DTC/retail wine sales
  • Cellar Door and Events experience with supervising of a Cellar Door team an advantage
  • Understanding of effective CRM tools and Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Some experience of budgeting and managing of budgets
  • Good wine knowledge
  • Capacity to work under pressure in a busy and varied role
  • A current RSA Certificate
