Vineyard Operator (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Shingleback Wine is a family owned winery situated in McLaren Vale, S.A., with 120ha of vineyards, comprising eight varieties that are all utilised for Shingleback’s own labels.

We are looking to fill the role of a vineyard hand/machinery operator in full time capacity. General tasks include post repair/maintenance, slashing, trimming, barrel pruning, harvesting, fertilising, irrigation and spraying.

The following strengths are what we are looking for in a candidate:-

  • Prior agricultural experience.
  • General mechanical and machinery knowledge.
  • Ability to understand and uphold safety standards as per legislation and company policies.
  • Pride in appearance, workmanship and punctuality.
  • Ability to follow instructions and follow through with a high level of attention to detail, efficiency and professionalism.
  • Communication skills and the ability to working as part of team.
  • Flexibility with work hours as required including day / night / and weekend work during Vintage and busy periods of the year.

A current Driver's license is essential, while other relevant/appropriate licenses are an advantage.
