We are seeking applications for the position of Casual Vineyard Operator, based in McLaren Vale South Australia. The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out day to day vineyard duties as directed by the Vineyard Operations Manager.
Duties will involve:
- Operation and maintenance of vineyard tractors and equipment
- Operate pickup tractors during vintage
- Manual pruning, canopy management and training of vines
- Irrigation maintenance
- Safe handling, mixing and application of chemicals
The successful applicant will:
- Be reliable with a strong work ethic
- Be able to work well in a team
- Have previous experience in a farming / vineyard environment including tractor and machinery operation
- Be physically fit and able to undertake outdoor and manual tasks
- Be able to work unsupervised and show initiative
- Hold a current driver's license
- Holding a MR/HR/Forklift and Pest Controllers license will be considered an advantage
