Tourism and Guest Services Manager (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

The National Wine Centre is one of Adelaide’s premier events and tourism venues.  Situated on the fringe of the CBD adjacent to the Botanic Gardens, the NWC offers a range of function spaces in a stunning architectural setting, coupled with an unparalleled food, wine and tourism experiences. The opportunity exists for an experienced tourism and events professional, reporting to the General Manager, to lead our Tourism and Guest Services team.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Driving  visitation to the National Wine Centre from international, domestic and local tourism markets
  • Connecting with and utilising new distribution networks for tourism products
  • Growing and retaining existing relationships by presenting new solutions and services to clients
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of the National Wine Centre’s Guest Services team, including reception and administrative support roles
  • Ensuring excellence in delivery of tourism

The successful candidate will have a strong events and tourism background demonstrating these attributes and capabilities:

  • A strategic outlook, with a clear understanding of the Australian and International events and tourism markets
  • Ability to develop distribution, pricing and revenue strategies to achieve business targets
  • Competency with CRM systems, online booking systems, social media platforms, SEO, blogs and website management
  • Work closely with the Executive Team to devise and execute strong marketing programs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders
  • Ensure effective internal and external communications
  • Enhance the image of the National Wine Centre when acting as the venue’s representative at industry and community events
