ROLE: To deliver on strategic growth in South Australia, Domaine Wine Shippers is seeking to recruit an experienced Manager from within the Wine Industry as a State Manager to lead and mentor our dynamic and enthusiastic sales team. Our new State Manager will represent Domain Wine Shippers to our strong existing client base with a determination to attract, convert and sustain new business.
You will lead sales for the state driving opportunities and expanding existing operations. The State Manager will be hands on and solution focused, ensuring client expectations are exceeded and the relationships with our winery partners are valued, deliver on expectations and remain strong.
This role will focus on delivering results & meeting expectations of both the business and winery partners in the On & Off Premise Sales Channels. DWS has four (4) Key Result Areas Finance, Customer, Wineries & Culture.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible, within the four Key Result Areas, for:
Job tasks and responsibilities
FINANCE (Sales):
- Setting & meeting budget benchmarks for sales & GP for the State by Sales Representative.
- Having the capacity to apply commercial expertise to achieve long, medium and short-term business objectives.
- Possessing the commercial acumen to identify, construct & fulfil bespoke opportunities.
- Capacity to identify and capitalise on new product and service developments to extend the current mix offered and enhance the ongoing commercial success of the business.
CUSTOMER:
- Growing, servicing & maintaining an active & real customer base to company benchmarks.
- Capacity to identify and anticipate the needs of customers to deliver products and services to meet and exceed expectations.
WINERIES (Brands):
- Delivering to winery partners expectations – selling across both domestic & imported portfolios.
- Working collaboratively with winery partners in trade & at arm's length.
- Capacity to manage and develop relationships while building loyalty amongst both internal stakeholders and external customers to achieve mutual goals.

- Substantial wine knowledge.
- Office 365 - Intermediate or better.
