Food and Beverage Australia Limited (FABAL) is one of the leading managers of viticulture & agribusiness in Australia.
The group develops and manages premium quality, large scale viticultural projects, managing approximately 1,500 hectares of premium cool climate vineyards throughout Australia including Padthaway, Barossa Valley, Clare Valley, Langhorne Creek, McLaren Vale, Heathcote and Margaret River regions. Whilst its primary focus is producing premium wine grapes, it is a growing business. FABAL is looking to expand its international and domestic wine business whilst also moving into agri-tourism in the Barossa Valley and Seppeltsfield.
FABAL is currently seeking an enthusiastic Senior Accountant (full time) who will be responsible for the implementation of accounting processes for the flagship Barossa Valley Chocolate Company from their office in Kent Town.
Reporting to the Group Manager, the successful applicant will be hands on, organised and have outstanding communication skills. A strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise work is essential coupled with a process improvement mindset and ability to initiate change. The successful applicant must be from a commercial/manufacturing environment with strong systems knowledge and the confidence and ability to work independently.
The role includes but is not limited to:
- New business start-up and software implementation
- Establish procedures and delegations
- Responsibility for Inventory and costs of goods sold management
- Preparing and analysing financial reports and board reports
- Annual budget process
- Cost accounting focus
- Liaise with key stakeholders including directors, advisers and auditors
Successful applicants must have:
- Degree qualified in Accounting or Commerce (compulsory)
- Post graduate experience in a manufacturing or commercial environment (compulsory)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Ability to prioritise, multitask and meet changing deadlines and work well under pressure
- An ability to work autonomously
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite is essential, MYOB and Attaché experience is desired
