Reporting to the National Manager- Principals & Trading, the newly created role of National Trade Activation Manager, Samuel Smith & Son, works across the Yalumba and Hill Smith Family Vineyard brands.
The core objective of this role is to effectively drive sales, profit and distribution outcomes in order to meet required budgets. This is to be achieved through working closely with the Equity Brand Team, National Business Manager & State Field teams in order to bring brand strategies to life.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Collaborate with the Brand team to implement channel and customer-aligned strategies based on brand plans, monitor and report on performance against strategy
- Ensure customer and trade insights and opportunities are leveraged, proactively communicate customer/ trade feedback from Sales to Brand, and ensure shopper insights are included in channel plans
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the broader sales team to develop, implement and evaluate channel activations
This position requires an individual with exceptional communication, interpersonal and relationship development skills. Success in this role will be determined by your ability to develop strong and close working relationships with the Equity Brand team, National Business Managers, State Sales Managers, State Field Teams and customers’. We are seeking a passionate individual who understands and responds to customers’ needs, works consistently to deliver value to internal and external customers and has a willingness to go the extra mile.
Candidates must demonstrate previous experience in a Sales or Sales Management role within FMCG or Wine/ Liquor, hands on experience or tertiary education in Marketing, proven attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, effective problem solving and time management and a healthy drive for achieving results.
Sound technical skills in Microsoft Office suite are essential and previous experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platform are highly desirable.
