The Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of WISA, you will be responsible for a variety of marketing and event management tasks that support the delivery of a number of national Wine industry events that help to make a positive impact in the grape and wine community.
Your duties will include:
- Contribute to event operational and project plans including budgets, schedules, resource requirements, and stakeholder consultation to ensure the delivery of effective events that meet budget, time frame, and other objectives.
- Implementation of a marketing and communication strategy that will include updating the website and social media platforms
- Membership management and administration
- Preparing presentations, meeting with external suppliers, coordinating speakers and attendees
- Work jointly with other key industry bodies and organisations
- Uploading and inputting information and press releases to various systems
- Participate as an active team member and carry out duties as requested by the Chief Executive Officer of WISA.
About You
You are an experienced, passionate and innovative marketing and events coordinator with proven experience in organising and coordinating sizeable conferences and events.
You have:
- 2+ years’ in a marketing or event management role
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- An exceptional eye for detail with a focus on ensuring accurate preparation of documentation and communications
- Ability to make sound decisions and be able to work autonomously
- Ability to deliver results under pressure and within tight time frames
- Sound technical and computer skills in a broad range of applications including social media platforms and CRM management
- Great time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and agreed milestones
- Demonstrated flexibility with regard to work tasks & working remotely
- Some travel and out of hours work may be required from time to time
Whilst not essential, the following qualifications will be highly regarded
- Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Marketing
- Diploma of Event Management or possess (or be in the process of completing) a CIM certification or similar industry certification
- Understanding of the NFP sector specifically in relation to membership and stakeholder engagement strategies
- Understanding of the Australian Wine Industry eco-system
