The National Wine Centre (NWC) is one of Adelaide’s premier events and tourism venues. Situated on the fringe of the CBD adjacent to the Botanic Gardens, the NWC offers a range of function spaces in a stunning architectural setting, coupled with an unparalleled food and beverage product.
A rare opportunity has become available for an experienced Event Sales Executive to join our dynamic team on a full time (salaried) basis, assisting with conferences and events.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Responding to client enquiries and preparing quotations in a timely manner
- Ensuring client requirements are effectively communicated to the operational departments of the NWC
- Meeting with clients and conducting familiarisations and site inspections
- Ensuring on-time and accurate sales reporting
- Building industry relationships, including attending relevant local conferences and meetings to network and promote the NWC
Essential Skills, Qualities and Experience:
- Leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Goal orientated with drive and self motivation
- The ability to develop mutual trust and confidence with target and key account representatives through the demonstration of personal and professional integrity
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Experienced, confident and professional presentation
- Experience with CRM is an advantage
- Effective self / time management skills
- Previous experience in a similar role within the Hotel / Event sales industry
