Established in 1988, Dorrien Estate is nestled in the heart of the Barossa on the site of the historical Dorrien settlement. Once the railway centre of the Barossa, Dorrien was where the Barossa’s highly prized wines started their journey by train to other parts of Australia and beyond. This connection to far reaching places has always been at the core of what we do, which is to source the best grapes from passionate growers in the finest regions across Australia, and craft them into premium small batch wines that are enjoyed all over the world.
Dorrien Estate Winery is one of Australia’s leading grape crushing and Winemaking facilities. With two sites located in the heart of the Barossa Valley, the winery also provides full winemaking and processing services to contract customers.
The Winery is currently seeking casual Cellar, Night Shift Weighbridge/Maturity Sampling & Laboratory Technician team members for the 2022 Vintage.
Employment will be on a seasonal casual basis commencing end-January 2022.
Previous Vintage or winery experience would be well regarded but full training will be provided.
What you’ll do:
- vintage operations from crush to press
- cellar operations
- barrel operations
- filtration and bottling preparation
You will have the following skills:
- the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- possess a high level of attention to detail.
- works cooperatively with others.
- accomplish objectives effectively within time frames.
- highly motivated, have a good level of numeracy and literacy and be great team members.
A considerable amount of physical labor will be required in these positions working both indoors and outdoors.
Shift work, weekends and overtime is required for each of the roles.
