About the business and the role

Tolley Viticulture is a family owned vineyard management company based in the Adelaide Hills. We are currently seeking an experience Assistant Manager to oversee harvest operations during the upcoming vintage. Whilst the position is for a fixed 3 month term, there is the possibility of permanency for the right candidate. 

Job tasks and responsibilities

This hands-on role involves ensuring all vintage operations are carried out to a high standard. It incorporates planning, leading and supervising staff as well as some machine operations. Additional tasks may include grape sampling. Due to seasonal demands hours may vary and there is an expectation that you will be required to work some weekends and nights. It is expected this role will commence at the end of January. 

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will have:

• a solid background in machinery operations
• sound communications skills with a desire to extend their level of responsibility
• forklift and/or MR truck license desirable
• previous experience in staff supervison
• a strong desire to be involved in the industry
• accurate record keeping and administration skills
• at least 3 years' experience in a similar role
