The opportunity:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and responsive individual to join our Viticulture team. Located in the Adelaide Hills in South Australia, reporting to the Senior Viticulture Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of AVL’s owned vineyards across the premium region as well as fruit sourcing and grower vineyard inspections.

Additional key areas of focus include, but are not limited to:

• Implementing plans to achieve the company’s targets;
• Preparing budgets and tracking performance against budget;
• Fruit sourcing and external grower vineyard assessment
• Develop, in consultation with Senior Viticulture Manager, evaluate and advise on viticulture / technical programs for premium vineyards
• Support and maintain compliance with company HSE policies and safe work practices

You will be responsible for leading a dedicated and experienced vineyard team to ensure best practice is followed as well as display a strong passion for continuous improvement. As an experienced professional you will lead from the front and your hands-on approach will see you build strong key internal and external relationships.

Essential requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a tertiary or formal vocational qualification in Viticulture, and/or extensive demonstrated experience in a comparable role. Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing multiple vineyards in a premium environment is required. A tertiary qualification in Agribusiness Management is highly desirable but not essential
