Golding Wines is a progressive and dynamic family owned winery situated at Lobethal, high in the picturesque Adelaide Hills of South Australia, hosting numerous weddings and prestigious corporate and private events throughout the year, together with casual lunch dining and tourism experiences.
This is a dynamic sales and customer service driven role that will encompass management of the daily running of our Tasting Room. You will primarily be responsible for driving sales & member growth in the Cellar Door. Reporting to the Venue Manager and working closely with the Head Chef and other Managers this is a diverse role and will suit someone looking for the next challenge in this evolving industry.
The Role
- Overall responsibility for the efficient running of the Tasting Room team
- Effectively manage all bookings and enquires
- Drive sales & wine club membership in the cellar door
- Staff training, motivation and leadership to ensure that service standards are maintained and that policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Facilitate wine flight service and group tastings
- Coordinate between food and beverage staff, Head Chef, Events Manager and the Administration team to ensure a successful delivery of food service and events where required
- Supervising staff and stock levels during shifts
- Accurately manage all transactions during service and reconciliation post service
- Ensure that the service provided to guests is of the highest standard.
- Assisting with the facilitation of Tourism experiences & Cellar Door Events
- Manage food service in the absence of the Hospitality Supervisor
Desirable Experience / Qualifications
- Recognized educational qualifications In Hospitality/Business /Events/Wine or relevant experience (preferred)
- Minimum 2yrs experience in a similar role (preferred)
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification (RSA)
- WSET Qualifications

- Proven ability to lead, train and motivate a team of wine attendants
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
- Stock management experience
- Strong knowledge of Australian wines and food & beverage trends
- Ability to delegate & multi-task
- Outstanding personal presentation and communication skills at all times
- A team player who is organised and can use their own initiative
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite

Numeration will be assessed on experience and qualifications and will be based on the National Employment Standards (NES) and the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2010 (MA000009).
