Graduate Accountant (12 Month Contract) (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

We are looking for a Graduate Accountant with strong business acumen capabilities. Exceptional communication skills and a warm and enthusiastic approach for a 12 month contract.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, responsibilities for this position include:

• Maintenance of accounts receivable and payable functions including timely processing and month-end accruals;
• Assist with monthly stock take function and reporting;
• Assist with preparation of payroll and statutory obligations;
• Assist with monthly financial close, including financial reports, variance analysis and commentary;
• Assistance with tax compliance requirements such as GST, FBT and income tax;
• Assist in the maintenance of the general ledger and pre-payment schedule and reconciliations;
• Other duties as reasonably required.

• Completion or close to completion of a tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce or relevant discipline;
• Mature minded approach to all responsibilities;
• Intermediate experience in the operation of an ERP package
• Ability to demonstrate commercial and financial acumen;
• Highly organised approach to work - across all areas;
• Exposure to AP and AR functions would be a strong advantage;
