Food & Beverage Team Leader (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:·  

• Ensuring customer service standards are highly  maintained at all times.  
• Coordinating the responsibilities of the food and beverage staff ensuring that duties are carried out in a timely and consistent manner.  
• Ensure that the food & beverage areas are clean and maintained to a high standard. 
• Setting up of tables and seating plans
• Managing lunch bookings to ensure maximum occupancy and turnaround of tables.
• Assisting the food and beverage attendants with taking food and beverage orders from patrons and service of drinks.
• Working in collaboration with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely food service
• Coordinating functions & events in the absence of the Cellar Door Manager
• Assisting Cellar Door Manager with suggested food and beverage improvements and marketing opportunities.
• Assist Cellar Door Manager with complaints in a professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction
• Undertaking appropriate induction and training of new staff.
• Ensure appropriate cash handling procedures are being followed throughout the cellar door and grain room
• Ensure staff are following all policies and procedures at all times in order to ensure that a safe working environment is maintained.
• Be aware of RSA at all times.
• Perform any other duties as reasonably required by management. 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

• Previous experience working in food and beverage.
• Knowledge of Wine styles and trained in Barista.
• High level of customer service
• Experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader within food & beverage
• The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to effectively lead a team. 
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to delegate multiple tasks at once.  
• Understanding of responsible service of alcohol responsibilities.   
• Current RSA

• Qualifications in hospitality
• RP Badge
• Interest / Qualifications in Wine
