Golding Wines is a progressive and dynamic family-owned winery situated at Lobethal, high in the picturesque Adelaide Hills of South Australia, hosting numerous weddings and prestigious corporate and private events throughout the year, together with casual lunch dining and tourism experiences.
This is a dynamic sales and customer service driven role that will encompass management of the daily running of our Tasting Room. You will primarily be responsible for driving sales & member growth in the Cellar Door. Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the Head Chef and other Managers this is an ideal role for those looking for their next challenge.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Duties and responsibilities will include:
• Providing exceptional customer service whilst maximising sales;
• Leading by example ensuring high standards are always met;
• Knowledge of the Adelaide Hills region and its offerings to visitors;
• Knowledge of Australian fine wine varietals and styles;
• Database management;
• Management of cellar door operations including, setting, and achieving budgets;
• Identifying opportunities to drive visitation and sales and enhance the cellar door experience;
• Manage and driving incentives for Wine Club sign ups at cellar door;
• Ensuring cellar door presentation standards are always maintained to a high level;
• Assisting with digital marketing channels including mail out, Instagram and Facebook;;
• Facilitiating wine flights, group tastings & experiences
• Actively developing supplementary sales opportunities in conjunction with other departments as appropriate;
• Continual review of operations to ensure we are maximising our opportunities;
• Stock control and inventory management to ensure stock integrity;
• Timely financial reporting and analysis of cellar door performance; and
• Leading, training and motivating the cellar door team including rostering and managing staff performance.
