A family owned and operated winery, Lambert Estate Wines is located just outside of Angaston in the iconic Barossa Valley. The cellar door is open seven days per week 11 am to 5 pm, with the restaurant open Friday to Sunday for lunch. We continue to grow and are looking to add to our team as we prepare to launch several new wine & food experiences.
We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated & experienced Cellar Door & Restaurant Manager who will be responsible for the daily management of our busy cellar door and restaurant. Your ability to contribute to the development of our brand, lead a team providing exceptional customer service, and drive initiatives to increase visitation to the venue and sales will see you succeed in this role.

You are working in the hospitality or service industries and great at dealing with people. You enjoy engaging with customers and providing best in class service. Offering a unique and premium experience to customers comes naturally.
This is a hands-on role that will draw on your advanced communication and interpersonal management skills to lead, train and grow our front of house team. This role needs someone who is entrepreneurial, motivated by meeting sales targets and energized by being part of a growing, unique enterprise in the Barossa Valley wine region. You will assist the management team in developing and implementing business strategies, training processes and sales plans throughout the year.
With sales and management experience, leadership skills and an essential background in hospitality service you will be the perfect fit!
Key Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for delivering premium Cellar Door, Restaurant, and Events service
- Liaise with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure effective cooperation and communication between front and back of house operations
- Develop and support Lambert Estate’s strategy by liaising with tourism partners to plan group visits, cellar door tastings, tours, and private events
- Drive cellar door and DTC wine sales
- Drive membership growth for Lambert Estate’s Discovery Club
- Training, development and mentoring of the front of house/hospitality team to increase wine and sales knowledge.
- Manage Cellar Door staff, rosters, reporting and budgets
- Manage and grow strong local relationships
Skills & Experience
- Applicants must have suitable qualifications, or at least three years relevant experience in hospitality, events and/or sales.
- This role is front of house sales and requires excellent cooperative marketing skills internally and with our many industry partners.
- Ability to work weekends and some nights is required.
